When should I move from in-house fulfillment to a 3PL?
Most brands hit the wall at 1,500 to 5,000 orders per month. Signals it is time: you are hiring pickers, lease prices are climbing, you have outgrown your warehouse, your team is shipping nights and weekends, returns are stacking up, or you cannot take a vacation without shipping breaking. What if my volume is seasonal?
Seasonality is normal. Toys spike in Q4, apparel spikes around new drops, beauty spikes around launches. G&B Fulfillment scales staffing and storage with your curve so you pay for capacity when you need it, not all year. Q4 capacity is reserved well in advance, so bring us in early in the year if your peak is in November or December.
Can you onboard mid-quarter or do I have to wait?
You can onboard any time. The fastest transitions are 10 to 14 days for brands with clean SKU data leaving an existing 3PL. Brands moving from in-house typically take 3 to 4 weeks because we coordinate the inventory move plus systems integration.
What happens if I outgrow my current 3PL?
Outgrowing a 3PL usually shows up as slower shipping, accuracy problems, or unwillingness to handle your retail channel. G&B Fulfillment runs many rescue onboardings each year. We pick up your inventory, integrate your systems, and start shipping in under two weeks if the data is clean.
Do you handle international brands entering the US?
Yes. International brands frequently use G&B Fulfillment as their US distribution arm. We handle import receipt, customs documentation review, and US ecommerce and retail distribution from California, which keeps transit time short to most US customers compared with East Coast 3PLs.
Can you grow with me as I add channels or open new product lines?
Yes. New SKUs are onboarded in 1 to 2 days. New retailer channels like Target or Walmart typically take 1 to 2 weeks to set up EDI and routing guide compliance. Most brands grow with us for 5 or more years.
